Itinerary
Namaste and welcome to the land of incredible India! Upon arrival at the Delhi International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by one of our representatives. You will then be transferred to the hotel to refresh and relax. India is completely different from any other country with its diverse mix of people, climate, scenery, religions, and cultural influences. In order to enjoy your tour to the maximum, please go with an open mind and perhaps without drawing comparisons with any other destination or culture.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to board a flight to Amritsar. Upon arrival at Amritsar, you will be met by our representative who will assist with the transfer and check-in at the hotel.

After lunch, proceed to discover the holy city of Amritsar. Visit the Golden Temple, the sacred Sikh sanctuary spread out in a vast complex around a huge water tank in the midst of which stands a marble sanctum where the holy book of the Sikhs, the Guru Granth is reverently placed. The roof of the sanctum is gold-leafed. The community kitchen provides free meals to up to 10,000 pilgrims of visitors in a day. Walk by the busy bazaars of the city and also visit the historic Jallianwalah Bagh, where General Dyer’s bullets killed hundreds of innocent civilians.

After breakfast proceed for road transfer to Pragpur (We will break our journey between Amritsar and Dharamshala and stay overnight in Pragpur). On arrival, check-in to your hotel and spend rest of day at leisure.

After breakfast, take a leisurely drive to Dharamshala. On arrival, you will check-in at the hotel.

Today we head to Dharamsala for a full day excursion. Visit the St. John’s Church in the Wilderness, located in a pine wood forest and one of the oldest in northern India. The church was built in 1852. The church has two priceless stained glass windows, which were donated by the wife of Lord Elgin, Viceroy of India. Dharamsala is also home to the Tibetan Buddhism, who fled Lhasa in 1959 and has lived in refuge in this town. Visit the Dalai Lama's residence and if lucky, an opportunity of an audience with him at McLeodganj where a large Tibetan population now lives. Later, visit Bhagsu Nag Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to the Snake God, who once lived on the Bhagsu Hill below which the present day temple and fresh water springs are located.

After a leisurely breakfast, proceed for transfer to Shimla (Drive will take approximately 8 hours). On arrival, check-in to your hotel and spend rest of day at leisure.

This morning we proceed on a tour of Shimla, the summer capital of the British India. The mall road is the main shopping centre of Shimla and is full of activity. Next visit the Jakhoo hill, the highest point in Shimla offering a panoramic view of the city. Also visit the Himachal state Museum, that has an interesting collection of objects from all over Himachal Pradesh. Spend the rest of the day at leisure talking a stroll in the streets of this beautiful hill station.

Today we take the narrow gauge toy train which has recently been awarded the UNESCO World heritage status, to Shimla. The journey by train from Shimla to Solan offers an unforgettable experience. Covering the distance through 103 tunnels and 969 bridges, it has 919 curves (68 km), 20 railway stations and 5 level crossings on the route. Meandering on the toy train is an enthralling experience as one passes through the breathtaking landscapes of majestic Himalayas, tunnels/ bridges and lush green valleys embellished with pine and oak trees. Upon arrival at Solan railway station, you will be transferred to Chandigarh airport Arrive Chandigarh airport and board your flight to Delhi.
